Job Description
We are looking for an experienced individual to support children with additional needs in the classroom. Key responsibilities include:
* Modifying teaching materials to cater to individual learning styles and promoting independent learning
* Collaborating with SENCO and support staff to design and implement personalized learning plans for pupils with special educational needs
* Providing a positive role model to students and setting achievable targets to enhance confidence and self-esteem
Ideal candidates have good knowledge of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and behavioural disorders. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences, such as SEN Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Healthcare Workers, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants, and Psychology Graduates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff. A good understanding of child development and learning theories is essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
