Role Overview
The Group Financial Accountant will play a key role within the Group Financial Control team, supporting the accurate and timely preparation of group financials. Working with the Group Accounting Manager, this role will manage accounting consolidation and support the wider finance team in effective reporting on SAP. The ideal candidate will possess experience in group accounting and a strong understanding of accounting process flows.
Responsibilities
 * Contribute to the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting for the group.
 * Prepare group financial analysis and reconciliations in support of accurate financial reporting.
 * Work with the Group Financial Control team to record adjusting entries and consolidation adjustments at month‑end and year‑end in accordance with IFRS.
 * Assist the Group Accounting Manager in managing and maintaining the consolidation module in SAP, continuously working to improve the financial period close.
 * Verify that intercompany recharges are appropriately processed and that intercompany positions are reconciled at the end of each reporting period.
 * Support the finance team in the effective and efficient use of SAP and related reporting tools.
 * Assist in accounting and reporting of head‑office companies.
 * Assist in preparing the annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
 * Contribute to periodic reviews of business‑unit reporting and accounting.
 * Support the continual development of SAP process flows and related process documentation to support internal controls.
 * Work with the group to prepare any further analysis required as part of the month‑end or year‑end process.
 * Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
 * Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related education.
 * Qualified Accountant licence (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
 * Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
 * Experience in consolidation and financial reporting in a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environment (or experience in group audits with a large accounting firm).
 * Proven experience with general ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close processes and audits.
 * Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS.
 * Proficient in spoken and written English.
 * Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Navision, SAP or similar).
 * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
 * Basic knowledge of other reporting tools (Jet Reports, Power BI or similar).

 * Ability to work closely with the Group Accounting Manager and finance teams.
 * Experience contributing to cross‑functional reviews and reporting alignment.
 * Strong problem‑solving skills to support accurate reporting and reconciliation.
 * Thoroughness in reviewing intercompany transactions and adjustments.
 * Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external auditors.
 * Ability to manage multiple deadlines during month‑end and year‑end close.
 * Willingness to continuously develop SAP and reporting tool proficiency.
