Governance Manager (Daily Rate Contract) Our client, a global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Governance Manageron an initial 6-month contract. This role will support the Head of Governance and the Company Secretary in preparing for internal audits of its Governance structures as well as preparing for regulatory reviews. The Job: Review existing mappings of regulatory obligations under the EBA guidelines Assess the controls mapped to the regulatory obligations identifying potential compliance gaps Redesign or rewrite controls where required Document and raise self-identified issues in instances of control gaps Assist Company Secretary in validating control effectiveness Assist the Head of Governance in the development of a simplified governance operating model The Candidate: Minimum five years experience in financial services corporate governance, compliance, risk management or internal audit Strong understanding of banking governance requirements Degree in a business, legal or other relevant discipline Corporate governance experience in a regulated financial services organisation Experience in developing / drafting policies and procedures. Strong computer skills including all MS Office suits Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail is essential Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and presentation skills.
