Job Description
R&D Engineer required for Medical Device client based in Galway. 12 month contract role.
This role is for a Finite Element Analysis Engineer working within the Modelling & Simulation group.
Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team to design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
2. Designs in silico studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
3. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
4. Will be expected to be capable of working as an individual contributor to deliver on project specific work packages while working with the departmental FEA team for collective knowledge sharing and development.
5. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).
Requirements:
6. Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within Finite Element Analysis typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
7. Experience with Abaqus or LS Dyna is preferred.
8. Requires a university degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
