Position Summary

12 Months, Fixed-Term, Whole-Time Post

Applications are invited for the role of Senior Postdoctoral researcher to work within the Offshore Renewable Energy Research Group in MaREI.

The researcher will lead the ongoing development of a techno-economic Web-GIS tool for offshore renewable energy, secure competitive research funding, engage in the wider research activities of the ORE Group and disseminate and communicate research results. Tasks associated with this post include but are not limited to: Optimising the GIS interface to make it more user-friendly; Incorporating new analysed datasets into the GIS TE tool e.g. availability, accessibility, weather window and extreme wave and wind metocean conditions; creating new datasets and incorporating them into the GIS TE tool; and increasing the techno-economic analysis complexity and functionality of the tool in co-operation with the ORE Group techno-economic model development group.

Project Title: MaREI

Post Duration: 12 Months

Salary: €53,770 - €58,479 per annum, IUA PD2
