Job Title: Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices for our products
* Research potential new suppliers and make recommendations
* Manage stock and supplier records
* Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
* Forecast sales and plan inventory accordingly
* Monitor seasonal stock and propose repeat orders
* Analyse sales figures and market trends to determine product needs
* Determine the need for and implement product promotions and price changes
* Coverage of general administrative responsibilities within the department
* Liaise with stores planning and developing merchandising strategies
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years previous procurement experience required
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Strong analytical and organisational skills
* Keen eye for detail
* Able to multi-task and perform under pressure
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
* Excellent commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast-paced and reactive environment
* Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
