A Dublin-based Oral Solid Dose pharmaceutical client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Capital Projects Group. This role will take ownership of complex capital projects, acting as a key interface between site leadership, operations, quality, external vendors, and engineering partners.The Senior Project Engineer will be accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including governance under a best-practice Stage Gate / Capital Project framework, and will lead the preparation and execution of core project documentation such as Project Execution Plans, cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers.The role spans the full project lifecycle from URS and Concept through Design, Construction, Commissioning, Qualification, and Handover, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management, decision-making, and delivery within a regulated GMP manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage capital projects within a live OSD pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, acting as project owner from initiation through close-out.Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, including Operations, Quality, EHS, Finance, and external engineering partners.Drive project governance in line with Stage Gate / Capital Management processes, ensuring timely approvals, cost control, and risk management.Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification of manufacturing equipment and associated systems.Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting, deviations, and investigations under the site change control system.Own and lead the generation, review, and approval of lifecycle documentation (URS, BOD, FDS, DDS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, Risk Assessments, SOPs).Chair and lead cross-functional project meetings, managing actions, decisions, and stakeholder alignment.Manage and coordinate vendors, system integrators, OEMs, and contractors, ensuring delivery to safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.Ensure projects are handed over in a controlled and compliant manner, with all documentation, training, maintenance systems, and site drawings updated.Identify and deliver process and equipment optimisation opportunities to support production output, reliability, and efficiency targets.Review operational and line performance metrics, providing strategic technical solutions to improve OEE and reduce downtime.Act as a mentor or technical lead for junior engineers or project team members as required.Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, EHS, and site SOPs at all times.The Person / RequirementsHonours Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or related discipline).7+ years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Project Engineering, with OSD experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.Strong track record of stakeholder management, influencing across functions and at senior levels.Significant experience in technical investigations, change control, and process optimisation initiatives.Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contractors, and project risk.Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with confidence operating in cross-functional and senior forums.
