Job Title: Assistant Lecturer In Youth Work
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Lecturer in Youth Work. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and research, and wants to make a real difference in the lives of students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, leading on the development of new programme material, and conducting research in the relevant subject area.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 18 hours of lectures per week into undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes, including assessment and placement supervision.
* Lead on the development of new programme material as required.
* Assist in student recruitment and provide support to students throughout their academic journey.
* Develop national and international academic links, and engage with stakeholders to promote the department's work.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong educational background in Youth Work or a related discipline, and hold an Honours Degree and NSETS endorsement. A minimum of three years teaching experience is also essential.
Desirable criteria include holding a postgraduate qualification, ideally at Masters or PhD level, in Youth Work or related Discipline, and having experience of conducting research and publications in Peer Reviewed Journals.
You should be able to demonstrate your ability to develop and lead academic programmes, and to engage effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
