To join the trainee program and apply for your Category D License, you must:
Program DetailsBe over 21 years old and typically reside in Wexford, IrelandBe medically fit to driveHold a valid full category B (car/light van) driving licensePossess a category D learner permitBefore starting, candidates will undergo a brief interview.
If you already have your learner permit, the next steps include:
(a) an on-road driving assessment with our training vehicle to evaluate skills and tailor your training plan, or
(b) starting the process to obtain your learner permit.
Initial training will be conducted at our Wexford Bus depot in Drinagh, Wexford, with our qualified trainers using Volvo 9700 buses equipped with advanced driver support systems.
The all-inclusive D Category Bus Training (valued at approximately €3,000) includes:
