We are currently recruiting compassionate and dependable Caregivers to work with clients in Cork City / County.
This role is ideal for individuals who are caring by nature and committed to delivering respectful, person-centred support.
Role Overview
As a Homecare Assistant with Elevare Homecare, you will provide practical and emotional support tailored to each client's individual needs and preferences.
Care is delivered in line with agreed care plans and on flexible schedules that suit both clients and staff.
Social & Companionship Support
Promoting wellbeing and connection, which may include friendly conversation and companionship
Providing reassurance and emotional support
Assisting with mobility and general movement
Preparing simple meals and tidying afterwards
Prompting clients about medications and appointments (no administration)
Domestic & Home Support
General household cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, bed making, and bathroom or kitchen cleaning
Laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing
Assisting with local errands
Supporting clients to attend appointments or activities
Personal Support
Assistance with daily routines such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming
Assistance with dietary intake
Support with personal hygiene, toileting, and continence care
Key Responsibilities
Contribute positively to the client's overall care and wellbeing
Keep accurate records of visits and report any concerns or changes observed
Communicate effectively with supervisors and the wider office team
Follow Elevare Homecare policies, care plans, and safe work practices
Use equipment and supplies correctly and responsibly
Carry out additional reasonable duties related to the role
QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent
Valid driving licence
Respectful and compassionate approach to care
Ability to work independently in different home environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards
Willingness to assist with errands or transport where required
Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic attitudePhysical capability to carry out the duties of the role
Flexibility to work a range of hours, including evenings and weekends
Good punctuality and attendance record
Previous experience in homecare, healthcare, or a support role
