Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wedding Manager to lead our wedding sales team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience, be passionate about hospitality, have an excellent eye for detail, and be dedicated to delivering flawless weddings that exceed expectations. This role requires creativity, organisation, and strong leadership to maintain Newpark Hotel's standing as one of Ireland's most sought-after wedding venues.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and professionally to all wedding enquiries via email and phone, ensuring full coverage at all times.
* Accurately input and manage all provisional and confirmed bookings on Hotsoft, including linked bedroom allocations.
* Attend required meetings, including daily briefings, function sheet meetings, and team revenue discussions.
* Process booking changes efficiently and communicate updates to all relevant departments.
* Represent the Newpark Hotel in a professional manner when meeting prospective clients or handling enquiries.
* Promote and clearly communicate hotel services, facilities, and packages to all guests.
* Ensure deposits are collected and coordinate billing with the accounts department.
* Conduct and support site visits, show-arounds, and familiarisation trips for prospective wedding couples and events.
* Provide expert knowledge on all Conference & Banqueting facilities, menus, beverages, pricing, and AV services.
* Prepare wedding tasting menus, top table name cards, and weekly menu updates as required.
* Attend final detail meetings with wedding couples and create accurate function sheets.
* Greet all wedding couples on the day of their wedding and pass to the manager on duty.
* Manage and update rooming lists for wedding groups.
* Maintain wedding date follow-up lists and actively chase enquiries in line with SOPs.
* Convert provisional bookings into confirmed sales through effective follow-up and relationship building.
* Work collaboratively with events, banqueting, and culinary teams to deliver seamless, bespoke wedding experiences.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a wedding or event managers role, ideally in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
* Hotsoft trained is desired but not essential,
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent English and Excellent written Skills.
* A proven track record of delivering high-end weddings and events.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
* Sales and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
