Lead Delta V Engineer

The Lead Delta V Engineer will manage a team(s) of Delta V engineers, overseeing control strategy development and system integration delivery for both continuous and batch manufacturing processes.
They will liaise with internal engineering teams, site teams, vendors, and clients, manage system design, testing and commissioning. Key traits for this role include self-motivation, good technical knowledge of process control in Life Sciences, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a Delta V team in the delivery of system integration projects, working closely with other engineering disciplines, and project management from concept through to construction.
* Develop and lead the development of control strategies, logic, and programming for complex batch control applications.
* Participate in Delta V design reviews, code and hardware.
* Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure successful integration of Delta V systems with existing plant infrastructure.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to other Delta V engineers and project stakeholders.
* Interact with clients, third party vendors and site teams to deliver process automation solutions.
* Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and site commissioning activities to ensure system functionality and performance.
* Develop and maintain documentation including functional specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience working with Delta V DCS systems.
* Proficiency in Delta V configuration software (Delta V Explorer, Control Studio, etc.).
* Proficiency in Delta V hardware design and testing.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in Life Sciences industries e.g. GAMP, ISA-S88, ISA-95.
* Strong understanding of process control principles and industrial automation systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
