Job Overview
This role is responsible for the planning and execution of site operations, ensuring works are completed in accordance with relevant specifications, safety standards, customer requirements, and quality systems.
* Manage human resources within the team, liaising with support functions to ensure seamless collaboration.
* Develop and schedule works to maximize efficiency of allocated resources, fostering a culture of productivity and innovation.
* Ensure preparation of Construction Stage Health and Safety Plans to safeguard employees and stakeholders.
* Liaise with Operations Managers and maintain accurate records for all aspects of projects, promoting transparency and accountability.
* Monitor the quality of surface dressing works and coordinate testing and sampling of emulsions and aggregates to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Plan, forecast, and schedule works while managing financial performance of contracts, driving business growth and profitability.
* Nurture existing customer relationships and develop new ones by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
* Develop technical expertise in company products and services to enhance the value proposition and stay ahead of the competition.
Managerial Responsibilities:
* Direct, manage, and lead contracting operations across Ireland, driving growth and expansion.
* Grow market share in terms of revenue, tonnage, and products by identifying opportunities and developing strategic plans.
* Develop internal and external capability to deliver road maintenance services, focusing on innovation and excellence.
* Measure performance in productivity, quality, health & safety, costs, revenue, and asset management to drive continuous improvement.
* Develop programs to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase customer satisfaction.
* Contribute to tenders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring competitive pricing and delivery.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Level 8 degree in Civil/Constructional or equivalent degree/industry-recognised safety training.
* Experience: Up to 3 years prior leadership experience, preferably in road surfacing or contracting environment.
* Knowledge: Contracting, estimating, project management, health & safety, outsourcing, Plant & Equipment, and Traffic Management knowledge.
