Electro Mechanical Applications Engineer

The Role
As part of a small, high‑performing engineering team, you will take on a broad and varied applications role that includes:
Providing pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support, acting as a trusted advisor to customers
Hands‑on product testing, installation, commissioning, calibration, and training
Developing clear product documentation and delivering customer training sessions
Supporting product usage in field survey work when required
Liaising between customers and R&D to communicate issues, enhancements, and technical insights
Contributing to new product R&D, including concept evaluation, prototype build/debug, and designing/executing test suites for new or enhanced products
Analyzing data, generating reports, validating corrective actions, and feeding findings back to engineering teams
You will receive in-depth training on the company’s technologies and will play a key role in ensuring customers gain maximum value from the products.
Skills & Experience
1+ years’ experience as an Electro‑Mechanical Engineer, Technician, or similar technical role
Diploma‑level qualification (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or related discipline
Hands‑on experience with prototype assembly and troubleshooting across hardware, electronics, optics, cameras, or illumination
Ability to design and execute test procedures and provide structured feedback to developers
Experience with data analysis, reporting, and validating system performance
Familiarity with wireless networking / data communications
Strong customer‑facing skills, including installation, setup, training, and remote/on‑site support
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey technical issues and solutions
Must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU
Overseas travel required; a clean driving licence is essential (including for driving abroad)
