The Practice and Role
Our Dublin office's insurance, reinsurance and commercial practice, which focuses on non-casualty i.e., non-personal injury matters, is market leading. You'll work directly with clients as part of a 9-person specialist non-casualty team.

As part of our insurance and commercial litigation and regulatory department in Dublin, you will advise global insurers, reinsurers, and commercial clients on complex coverage issues, high-value disputes and regulatory compliance.
Areas of focus include claims and regulatory advice arising out of multiple insurance, reinsurance and commercial lines, including property damage, business interruption, professional indemnity, cyber breach and data protection, aviation, green energy, construction, marine and aircraft leasing. This is a role that does not involve personal injury litigation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
* Represent clients in a high-value advisory, litigation and arbitration capacity across the core insurance, reinsurance and commercial sectors referenced above.
* Provide policy coverage advice, liability defence and cyber breach coach services.
* Draft and review policy wordings, regulatory compliance documentation and advise on data protection issues.
* Work with an array of domestic and international insurance, reinsurance and commercial clients.
* Support cross-border matters involving other Clyde & Co offices whether involving Irish or English law.
Essential Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:
* Is 3-5 years PQE. Please note this is provided as a guideline for this role, and applications from candidates with different levels of experience will also be considered.
* Holds previous experience advising on insurance coverage issues and acting in the defence of non-personal injury litigation and arbitration disputes.
* Demonstrates substantial experience managing defence litigation matters before the High Court, including the Commercial Court
* Qualified solicitor in Ireland (previous experience and/or a qualification in England & Wales is an advantage but not essential).
