Role OverviewThe Energy Engineer is responsible for delivering energy management services and projects on a client site in Shannon, Co. Clare. The role focuses on identifying energy efficiency opportunities, reducing energy costs, supporting capital planning, and delivering sustainable energy solutions through technical expertise and effective project management.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify energy-saving opportunities and develop recommendations to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.Analyse energy consumption data and conduct energy audits to assess performance and conservation measures.Manage and deliver energy conservation and sustainability projects, ensuring compliance with budgets, timelines, and regulations.Perform energy modelling, measurement and verification, commissioning, and retro-commissioning activities.Inspect and monitor energy systems, including HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems, to identify efficiency improvements.Review mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings and specifications to assess energy performance and feasibility.Oversee contractors and site activities related to energy management projects.Promote renewable and alternative energy solutions and support energy awareness initiatives.Provide technical advice on energy management systems, sustainable design, and energy procurement.Prepare and submit technical, project, and management reports, including senior-level reporting.Ensure compliance with ISO standards, Health & Safety regulations, and all relevant legislation.Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and site personnel.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Energy, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience in energy management, building services, or sustainability projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and energy efficiency technologies.Experience with energy audits and energy modelling tools.Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
