Job Description
The Oncology Liaison Nurse will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and support to cancer patients and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the psychological, emotional, and informational needs of patients at the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
* Meet with patients to discuss their treatment plans, provide education on their condition, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and are referred to specialist services when necessary.
* Develop strong relationships with clinicians involved in patient care, including consultant medical oncologists and nurses within the hospital's Cancer Services department.
* Foster good working relationships with other healthcare professionals across departments within Beacon Hospital by being approachable
