Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. The aim of this programme is to provide you with the opportunity of acquiring knowledge in the area of childcare whilst gaining experience working in a childcare setting. Your duties will include:
Assisting the childcare leader on a daily basis in the general running of the facility
Assisting with daily activities
Meeting the needs of the children in your care
Organising and supervising play, arts & crafts, and other activities
Based in the Aras Eoghain Childcare Community Centre, Portlaoise, you will achieve a Level 5 QQI Childcare qualification in Early Learning and Care stage 1, which will enable you to obtain employment in childcare.
Qualifications
Good understanding of spoken and written English
Genuine interest in working with children
Flexibility and willingness to participate in mandatory childcare training and study
