The Mespil Hotel has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our Accounts Team.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, the Accounts Receivable Assistant will support debtor control and ensure the smooth operation of the accounts department.
Responsibilities
1. Debtors
2. Check sales ledger invoices daily against reports and reconcile backup.
3. Follow procedures aligned with reservation cancellation policies.
4. Handle guest queries.
5. Send invoices and statements to clients.
6. Manage credit control and aged debtor reports.
7. Attend monthly debtor meetings.
8. Follow up on late payments via phone and email.
9. Check credit references for new accounts.
10. Cash
11. Prepare weekly cash lodgments and address related queries.
12. Allocate weekly cash receipts and resolve related issues.
13. Credit Cards
14. Reconcile credit card payments monthly, verify records, and investigate discrepancies.
15. Customer Service
16. Provide friendly and efficient guest service.
17. Adhere to hotel standards and handle requests and complaints professionally.
18. Maintain a positive attitude with guests and colleagues.

22. Report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
23. Ensure team compliance with safety practices.

27. Attend training, serve on committees, and perform duties as directed.
28. Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in an accounts receivable role in a similar property.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to handle complaints professionally.
* Proficiency with front office and accounting systems.
