Equipment Operations Technician
This role involves ensuring that production equipment operates efficiently, safely and in line with the maintenance strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Address machine breakdowns and conduct routine maintenance on assets to maintain their functionality.
* Deliver a high-quality service to production teams, ensuring efficient and safe operation of equipment.
* Perform assigned tasks by management and proactive tasks that enhance throughput, yield and reduce waste.
* Manage electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic components, and control systems.
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve targets and monitor performance closely.
* Support suppliers in new equipment installations and modifications.
Requirements:
* A trades qualification - electrician or fitter.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in similar roles in manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and/or relevant qualifications.
* Strong awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety.
* Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance and fault finding/problem solving.
* In-depth knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and PLC control systems.
