Applications Architect.

position located with our client in
*Dublin 2. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 2 days onsite per week.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications Developer Architect to join a major public sector organisation. This role involves leading the architecture and development of complex application platforms, driving business transformation, and ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
*Key Responsibilities****
* Design and architect new application platforms across a diverse software environment.
* Engage with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver optimal solutions.
* Interpret project and user requirements, evaluate options, and produce clear architectural documentation, schematics, and workflows.
* Lead development and migration projects (e.g., case management solutions from Lotus Notes to PowerApps).
* Ensure solutions meet legal, functional, and technical requirements, as well as security compliance standards.
* Provide technical oversight and subject matter expertise on Microsoft technologies such as
PowerApps, PowerBI, SharePoint, Dynamics
, and equivalent platforms.
* Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Support, and Engineering teams to ensure interoperability.
* Assist in resolving complex technical issues using Root Cause Analysis.
* Produce clear technical documentation and progress reports.
**Mandatory Requirements****
* Minimum
7 years' experience
in Applications Architecture and Development.
* Proven experience developing
complex digital cloud solutions
within the last two years.
* Relevant qualifications:
* Recognised application development certification,
or
* Primary degree in Technology/IT discipline,
or
* NFQ Level 7 equivalent.
* Fluent in English (CEFR Level C2 certification required if not a native speaker).
**Desired Skills & Competencies****
* Expertise in leading architecture and development projects using
Microsoft Application platforms
and frameworks.
* Experience with technologies such as
MS Power Platform, SharePoint, Dynamics, SQL Server, Azure, .NET, Angular, React, JavaScript, JQuery, RESTful Web Services
.
* Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
