An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team working on major data centre projects across Europe. This position will see you play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest client specifications.
You'll work closely with Contract Managers and project teams, taking ownership of cost control, commercial reporting, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with estimating teams during tendering to understand scope and strategy
* Prepare and maintain accurate commercial project files before and during project execution
* Produce weekly cost reports and performance projections
* Manage and submit change orders in line with evolving project requirements
* Prepare and submit monthly valuations, following up for timely certification and payment
* Develop and monitor project cashflow forecasts
* Identify commercial risks early and implement mitigation strategies
* Ensure contract compliance, resolve issues, and maintain strong client and stakeholder communication
* Stay up to date with contract conditions, legislation, and best practices in commercial management
* Support final account preparation and project close-out documentation
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Minimum 3 years' commercial experience in construction, ideally within electrical or technical projects
* Strong commercial awareness with proven ability in cost control, valuations, and change management
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular)
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy
* Fluent English (C2 level), both written and spoken
* EU citizenship or unrestricted visa-free travel within the EU
* Knowledge of contract law and construction procurement processes
