Moorehall Lodge Ardee is seeking a full-time Homemaker (37.5 hrs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be flexible and must have the ability to work weekdays and weekends as required. We have a family ethos that carries through our households. Our Household Model of Care offers residents a person-centred approach in a place they can call home. The Homemaker is responsible for:
* Greeting and welcoming all visitors to the House
* Creating meaningful events and activities for residents (planned and unplanned)
* Assisting with meal planning and serving meals in a person-centred way
* Maintaining residents' fluid and food intake charts and informing the Nurse/Carer Lead of changes
* Liaising with the House team/catering on dietary changes and reporting changes in eating patterns
* Keeping the kitchenette clean, tidy and running smoothly
* Completing cleaning tasks within the span of duty
* Washing dishes, sweeping and washing floors in the kitchen and dining area after meals
* Keeping fridge clean, defrosted weekly and discarding out-of-date items
* Keeping cooker and microwave clean
* Maintaining cleanliness in kitchenette areas and storage
* Ensuring equipment is clean and maintained, complying with infection control guidelines
* Disinfecting surfaces and equipment in contact with food
* Familiarity with Moorehall Lodge Food Safety Policy, House Rules and records
* Ensuring laundering or replacement of cloths, towels and serviettes as needed
* Locking away cleaning chemicals and detergents; keeping the laundry room secure
* Keeping the kitchen door closed when not in use
* Carrying out other reasonable duties as directed by the Director of Care and/or Person in Charge

* Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and the Lodge
* Contribute to the protection of vulnerable adults from abuse
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in your household
* Report ill-health or incidents to the Staff Nurse
* Attend training and meetings as required
* Complete all documentation clearly
* Uphold the household values
* Report damage or breakage of equipment
* Support new staff and volunteers
* Carry out other reasonable duties as required
