We are currently hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)-6 Months Contract to support the leadership of a Nursing Home in Dublin, Ireland .
This is a full-time position on a 6-month fixed-term contract .
Responsibilities Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the clinical care of residents and the overall day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring high standards of care at all times.
Promote a person-centred care culture that supports residents' independence, wellbeing, and quality of life while working closely with residents and their families.
Demonstrate strong clinical expertise in the care of older persons, ensuring practices align with current evidence-based standards.
Assist in the effective management of resources to support continuous quality improvement within the service.
Participate in the daily management of the home, including conducting regular nursing rounds and supporting staff in delivering quality care.
Support the development, review, and implementation of policies, procedures, and care standards within the organisation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and the HIQA National Standards, assisting with their implementation and monitoring within the home.
Support clinical governance activities, including quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and the investigation of complaints, incidents, and near misses.
Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff and Care Assistants, promoting professional development and best nursing practices.
Assist with staff management and development, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, rostering, and supporting ongoing education and professional growth.
Requirements Must be registered with An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
A minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a management role within a residential care setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and HIQA National Standards for Residential Care Settings.
