Job Overview
The Senior Fund Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial management of fund structures. This position requires the incumbent to carry out routine day-to-day accounting tasks under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting and financial management of complex funds, portfolio companies, and associated fund structures.
* Client liaison and communication for timely deliverables such as NAV reporting.
* Accounting services including processing and reviewing daily postings, general accounting of expenses/income, preparing and reconciling statutory financial statements, and investor queries.
* Accurate record-keeping on accounting system eFront FIA for all required aspects of different significant financial statements line items.
* Review and reconciliation of daily/weekly bank statements ensuring both loan and GL transactions are up-to-date with supporting documentation.
* Audit query resolution and client communications on daily operations for assigned entities.
* Technical knowledge development in Private Credit/Debt instruments with ability to agree loan processing transactions to the GL TB.
* Assistance to managers in complex transactions, i.e., loan advances, repayments, OIDs.
* Preparation of accounting deliverables on period basis, i.e., consolidation packs, stand-alone reporting packs.
* Professional guidance and mentorship to junior staff members under the supervision of the fund accountant.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree in accounting or finance (bachelor's or master's degree).
* Part-qualified with relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level).
* Excellent interpersonal skills for close working relationships with colleagues.
* Strong technical financial services experience supported through the Aztec Academy.
* Computer literacy essential.
