As a Principal Project Engineer, you will spearhead intricate projects focused on the introduction and optimization of state-of-the-art automated manufacturing lines.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and execute significant engineering projects related to the assembly of final products, which includes development, construction, testing, commissioning, and validation tasks.
* Partner with equipment suppliers to guarantee successful initiation of production and scaling to meet rising volume demands.
* Deliver technical leadership and project management throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards set by internal stakeholders, such as R&D, Regulatory, and Quality departments.
* Proactively identify and manage risks that could negatively affect project timelines, product integrity, or safety standards.
* Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including product teams, department heads, and external collaborators.
* Foster innovative solutions and implement necessary engineering modifications.
* Lead complex engineering analyses and problem-solving initiatives, leveraging advanced technical expertise.
* Complete and submit documentation in line with business protocols and timelines.
* Travel may be necessary (approximately 25%) to various locations, including Europe and the US.
Requirements:
* A Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or a related Science field, coupled with 5+ years of relevant technical experience. Degrees in Automation, Electronics, or Mechatronics are preferred.
* Demonstrated capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a high-energy environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at various organizational levels.
* Excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in multitasking to meet deadlines.
* A proven history of leading continuous improvement initiatives is highly regarded.
* Experience managing the implementation of high-speed automation lines and new product development processes.
* Familiarity with the design, commissioning, and validation stages of complex automated systems.
* Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and ISO standards, as well as automated manufacturing technologies and measurement systems.
