Job description Core Responsibilities: Working as part of the Member Advisory Unit dealing with member correspondence, letters, calls, emails on a rotational basis; Undertake research and maintain an up to date knowledge in employment law Providing professional representation for members through 3rd party engagements, grievances, disciplinary procedures & other relevant policies Development of material for members in relation to policies and procedures, employment law and other aspects relevant to the business of their practice Reviewing employment contracts and other relevant documentation Development of material for the IMO website, for practice notes, for members and for articles as required Attendance at meetings with employer members as required to outline and explain their obligations as employers; Attendance at group meetings & deliver of presentations on different issues of relevance Attendance at IMO events, as required Provide support to other members of the Industrial Relations Department as required Undertake regulars hospital meetings and be the principle point of contact for assigned hospitals & provide feedback to the Manager of the Member Advisory Unit Desirable Candidate Attributes: HR or employment law degree/qualification Experience in a comparable role Strong knowledge/experience of Irish Employment Law Experience of involvement in workplace investigations, disciplinary procedures and other processes Knowledge of HR and related practices Strong verbal and written communication skills Full driving licence Please contact for any informal queries.
