About the Role
The role will report directly to the Finance Director, supporting with IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, revenue analysis, Management Accounts preparation and accountability for specific Balance Sheet general ledgers
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, is key to succeeding in this role. You will be joining a dynamic finance team which is striving to improve processes and question the norm.
It is essential that the individual provides a consistent high-level of service in line with our company policies and procedures reflecting our corporate values and behaviours.
What you will do
* Manage the monthly delivery of Revenue to Gross Profit for specific Planet products
* Support the wider Finance team in delivery of all KPIs, including reviewing journal entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
* Oversee the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts monthly
* Compile financial information to review and/or prepare journal entries, in an accurate and timely manner.
* Interprets the meaning of financial information and makes accounting adjustments accordingly.
* Preparation of monthly financial reports meeting key group deadlines
* Propose ways to enhance and increase the efficiency of the Finance Operations Core Service Offerings.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure that processes are aligned.
* Working with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
* Assist with or lead projects as they may arise to enhance processes & efficiency

What you will need to bring to Planet
Knowledge & Experience
* Professional Accounting Qualification – ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc
* 1-3 years' post qualification industry or practice experience in a similar role
* Experience working in a multinational environment
* Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
* Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all internal and public company deadlines
* Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
* In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, in particular IFRS 15
* Experience with Workday Finance ERP a plus
* Excellent IT skills including Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills, which are a key requirement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships at all levels within the organisation
* Proven team working skills
