We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential.Scope of the Role:As a QA mechanical inspector you are required to help in the delivery of a zero defect / zero rework project.Our quality goal is "Zero snags at the time where the foreman announces that a system or part of a system in complete".You are required to help deliver your department goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.Key Responsibilities of the Role:Assist in the development of any project specific work proceduresAssist in the development of any project specific ITP's.Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements.Conducts and records surveillance / in progress inspections of the Mechanical installationsCarry out interim installation line walks to ensure that the following are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the relative specification.Correct POC IdentifiedLatest drawings availableSupports installed as construction progressesLabelling correctWelding inspections carried out as requiredEquipment installed as per P&IDHigh point vents and low point drains installed as requiredCorrect bolt and gasket types being installedCorrect pipe shields installed as requiredAssists in final inspections with the construction supervisors as required.Complete system handover walks with the client.Assists with collation of documentation for the Construction Handover dossiers (i.e., QCC dossiers).Inspection frequency as attached in specific ITP's.Quality Reporting (internal to Mercury Engineering):Essential Criteria for the Role:A relevant Third Level or Professional QualificationAbility to work well under pressure and within strict deadlinesExcellent communication skillsGood organisational and planning skillsExcellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathyConfident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issuesAbility to produce quality written reportsProficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPointMercury is an equal opportunities employer.
