We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Primary Care Team in Letterkenny. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality, person-centred services to adults within a community-based Primary Care setting.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapy Assistant
* Assist Occupational Therapists in the delivery of assessment and intervention programmes in line with Primary Care pathways.
* Support service users with functional activities, rehabilitation programmes, and activities of daily living under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Carry out delegated tasks including home exercise programmes, equipment provision, and group-based interventions where appropriate.
* Support home visits and community-based appointments as required.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with HSE policies and procedures.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and service development initiatives as required.
* Adhere to all relevant HSE policies, procedures, and standards, including safeguarding and health and safety नया??
Requirements for the Occupational Therapy Assistant
* Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy Assistance, Healthcare Support在线视频??? (QQI Level 5 or equivalent).
* Experience working in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or community setting.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Full driving licence and access to transport is desirable due to community-based work.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working within Primary Care or community services.
* Experience supporting adults with physical, neurological, or functional needs.
* Experience assisting with group programmes or health promotion activities.
