Food and Beverage Supervisor Opportunity

The Heritage offers a sophisticated elegance with impeccable hospitality set in the picturesque Laois countryside. Our luxury world-class Hotel and European Award-Winning Spa provide an exceptional guest experience.

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our existing team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all food and beverage service requirements are met while maintaining high standards at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for supervising and directing a team of colleagues, upholding the standards and ethos of the food and beverage areas, and meeting and greeting guests in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the licensing laws are adhered to at all times.
* Supervise, train, and develop food and beverage colleagues.
* Familiarize yourself with Departmental SOPs and Preferred Standards.
* Assist the Departmental Manager with weekly/monthly stock takes.
* Liaise with stores to ensure timely supply of food and beverage stocks.
* Maintain an environment that promotes colleague morale and encourages the team to take pride in their work.
* Coach the team to maximize sales opportunities and meet sales targets.
* Ensure all colleagues are fully conversant on all products and services within the hotel.
* Maintain close communication with management team members to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
* Be responsible for security of cash within the food and beverage areas.
* Implement and maintain stock control procedures to ensure highest level of food and beverage management and stock control.
* Complete HACCP documentation as required.
* Implement and maintain company policies and procedures.
* Adhere to all hygiene regulations and procedures at all times.
* Provide support in other areas of the hotel if necessary.
* Ensure all colleagues wear correct uniform, name badge, and preferred pin at all times.
* Responsibility for day-to-day maintenance of the department.
* Deal with complaints in a courteous and sympathetic fashion and report to the Managing Director if necessary.
* Promote hotel facilities and ensure colleagues are trained to promote sales within the hotel.
* Work towards achieving high hotel inspection results.

Health & Safety:


Ensure reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and any other persons on the premises.

Keep work areas tidy and safe and report any hazard, loss, or damage to management.

Aware of trained first-aid colleagues on the premises and the location of the first aid box.

Observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Safety Statement.


Carry out continuous Health & Safety training and re-training with employees.

Participate in all Health and Safety training scheduled for you and your team.

Inform Management immediately in the event that you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party.

All accidents/incidents must be recorded in the Incident Reports.
