Electronic Hardware Engineer - Medical Device
The purpose of this position to collaborate with other engineering teams to design and develop hardware to ensure the final product operates perfectly. This will be done by carrying out product design and testing for electro mechanical controllers and software to ensure performance and safety certification IEC are met.
The role is for an industry leading medical device company based in Dublin. The company is going through a transformation project for a life saving electromechanical medical device.
Responsibilities:
* Research and develop embedded hardware designs for medical drug delivery combination devices
* Become an SME on the systems architecture designs with the ability to present them
* Test and validation of prototype designs and performing hardware design reviews
* Work with leading technologies such as LoRa, 5G, and wired interfacing systems
* Cross-collaborate with different engineering teams
Requirements:
* 3 years' industry experience in electronic design and development
* Medical device is experience is not required but is preferable
* Experience in C or C++
* Knowledge and experience with CAD packages or similar
* Strong understanding of embedded software development
