Contract Type: Permanent Part-timeContract Hours: 17.5 hours per week (0.5 WTE)Salary Scale: €62,072 - €73,477 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Overview of the Post
Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Physiotherapist services for young people (0–18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development, delivered through a family‑centred approach across clinics, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children and families, deliver clinical supervision of staff and students, develop and monitor service protocols, maintain patient records, and contribute to service improvement initiatives as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria
Registered or eligible for registration on the Physiotherapists Register (CORU).
Three years of full‑time (or equivalent) post‑qualification clinical experience.
Knowledge and professional ability to discharge the duties of the office.
Proof of statutory registration on the Physiotherapists Register before employment.
Experience working with babies.
Eligible to work in the state.
Fluency in English.
Valid driving licence for within the state/jurisdiction and access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.
Annual Registration
Upon appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register (CORU) and confirm this with Enable Ireland.
Desirable Criteria
Minimum of 1 year’s paediatric physiotherapy experience with children with disabilities.
Experience managing tone, posture, service development, and providing clinical supervision.
Experience with group work, supervising staff and students, caseload management, delivering education, and conducting research.
Experience in service development and practice standards development.
Experience coordinating clinics and leading in consultative settings with consultants and lead therapists.
Experience managing databases such as hip surveillance, surgery, Botulinum Toxin, etc., and conducting audits.
