Job Brief Western Care are seeking to recruit a Senior Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychologist to join our Psychology team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team, in supporting adults with neurodiverse needs, including intellectual disabilities and Autism.
We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated in working with adults with neurodiverse needs, who are skilled and knowledgeable about this area of practice, can demonstrate experience of person-centered planning, working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team and engaging in research in the disability field.
The successful applicant will work as part of a supportive and well-established team of Psychologists working as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing clinical supports to adults in a disability setting with a wide range of challenges and needs.

Salary Scale Senior Psychologist Pay Scale (Scale Range €94,172 to €110,691 per annum) this is based on full time working hours i.e.

As a growing department, the Psychology team are dynamic and innovative, primarily focused on bringing a neurodiversity affirmative approach to the way in which the organisation supports people.
We primarily provide clinical supports to people who are neurodiverse (Autistic/Au DHD/Intellectual disability).
Current service developments include the provision of meaningful psychological formulations for the people we support, along with the rollout of neurodiversity affirming training across the organisation and the use of the Compassion Focused Therapy model under the supervision of the Compassionate Mind Foundation to support frontline staff.
Role Working with a Principal Clinical Psychologist, the Senior grade Psychologist will be provided with supervision on a monthly basis with ample opportunities for co-working and upskilling in clinical competencies.
Continuous professional development is supported through allocation of time to attend relevant training and budget allocation.

Candidate Requirements Essential requirements: A University Degree or Diploma with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as major subject and honours obtained in that subject.
A recognised post-graduate professional qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling psychology that meets the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland and is validated by the Department of Health and Children.
At least 2 years post qualification experience in working in working with people with neurodiverse needs.
Full clean driving licence and the use of a car.
Desirable: Previous experience of conducting interdisciplinary assessments with adults with complex needs.
Previous experience of developing and facilitating training and intervention programmes.
Experience in supporting team and organisational initiatives.
A keen interest in research and experience of conducting various types of research in a disability setting.
Other Requirements Full driver's license is essential.
Candidates must hold a full clean driving license.
Have access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Participate in an on-call rota as required.
