As a member of the Quantum team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with sustainable, community‑focused projects and be part of a full‑service approach that guarantees quality at every stage.Job PurposeAs a Health and Safety Advisor you will support Quantum's Health and Safety Team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across all construction sites. The role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the health and safety field in the construction industry.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and policies.Support the implementation of health and safety regulations and company policies in line with local and national legislation.Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements for construction activities.Support the delivery of health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site personnel.Record and report near‑misses, accidents, and incidents, and participate in investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of site inspections, audits, and incident reports; prepare reports and updates for the Health and Safety Manager.Monitor the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees and contractors.Encourage a proactive approach to health and safety by fostering a culture of awareness and accountability among all employees and subcontractors.Qualifications, Key Skills & CompetenciesA recognised qualification in Health and Safety.Minimum 3 years previous experience in a construction or health and safety‑related role.Strong interest in health and safety within the construction industry.Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and construction practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.The job description is flexible and may adapt or evolve as the role progresses over time.
