Pharmacy Technician Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for dispensing medication accurately and efficiently to patients in nursing homes. You will work with electronic medical administration record (EMAR) systems and McLernon's dispensing system.
Key responsibilities include receiving, processing, and dispensing medication orders, completing paperwork and electronic documentation, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and providing excellent customer service.
To excel in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, good communication and teamwork skills, and proficiency in pharmacy software.
You will collaborate closely with Care Home Team Leads to implement corrective actions, support the stock control team, and maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization in the pharmacy.
In addition, you must possess recognized Pharmacy Technician qualifications, previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
