OverviewAnalog Devices is seeking a Product Applications Engineer in the Advanced Data Converter Group (ADG). This group develops transceiver products from narrowband to ultra-wideband for aerospace & defense, instrumentation and communication applications such as radar, 5G, LEO satellite, and smartphone testers. These products create a mobile, connected, and safe future. In this position you will work directly with IC design, product engineering, software, marketing, and field applications engineers to enable customers to move fast from evaluation to prototyping with ultra-wideband transceiver designs, to ensure a positive customer experience and win new design-ins.Key responsibilitiesPromote and take a leading role in supporting the DSP/algorithm of both the released transceiver products and new products under development at lead customers.Collaborate with Systems, FPGA and Software Engineers to define, architect and implement the DSP reference design to accelerate the adoptions of ADI solution.Drive the concept/simulation and translate customer system DSP requirements into product definition and prototype design for key applications such as radar digital beamforming, 5G/6G etc.Perform signal chain analysis, circuit/system modeling and system performance evaluation.Create technical media (datasheets, application notes, training materials and technical seminars/webinars) that promote awareness, effectiveness and ease of use of Analog Devices’ products.Key QualificationsMasters or PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar engineering field.Experience with MATLAB and Python for DSP/algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.Solid mathematical background with fluency in DSP theory and digital design techniques. Familiar with at least one of the following areas: Radar digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing. Functions and algorithms in high-end FPGAs or ASICs for cellular radio and wireless standards (LTE, LTE-A, 5G NR, WIFI6/7 etc). ORAN/LowPHY experience is desirable.Serial communication protocols including Ethernet, JESD204B/C/D, or USR/XSR.Experience with ARM and FPGA microcontroller systems, boot processes, drivers, interrupts, memory systems, compiler, and debug tool flows (preferred).Hands-on experience in lab testing and characterization for evaluation of silicon and RF systems (preferred).Team player with strong self-motivation and collaboration skills.Open mindset with drive for success and a solid work ethic are valued more than any particular skill.TravelTravel Required: Up to 10%Equal OpportunityAnalog Devices is an equal opportunity employer.
