Overview
The role performs complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products using LCMS instrumentation, analyzes data, and records results. The Scientist III typically acts as a project lead on multiple projects, interfaces with clients, reviews data, writes reports and protocols, and ensures scientific conduct and regulatory communication with senior team members.
Responsibilities
* Independently performs method validations, method transfers and analytical testing of pharmaceutical compounds in various formulations.
* Designs and completes experiments with minimal supervision.
* Prepares study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other technical documents.
* Communicates data and technical issues to the client and responds to client needs.
* Mentors, trains and coordinates laboratory activities of other team members and assists in troubleshooting instruments and analytical problems.
* Assists in designing method validation or method transfer protocols and establishing project timelines.
* Reviews data for technical quality and compliance with protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and GMP.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
* 5+ years’ GMP laboratory experience with LCMS instrumentation (e.g., LCMS-QQQ/Sciex 6500, Orbitrap or similar) and complex data evaluation.
* Experience in Method Validation, Method Transfer and Analytical testing.
* Equivalency considered for combination of education, training and related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Detailed knowledge of method validation; method development is advantageous.
* Ability to plan, schedule and execute work to ensure project completion.
* Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
* Excellent attention to detail.
Location
Based at the GMP Laboratory in Athlone, providing testing services to clients.
