Construction Manager Job Description
This is a construction management role requiring extensive experience in managing pharma site projects.
* The successful candidate will carry out Constructability Reviews and Interactive planning sessions with the client and design team.
* Ensuring that the site construction phase and turnover phase of a project are adequately provided with suitable personnel, plant, tools, temporary facilities, and resources.
* The role involves discharging contractual responsibilities for the site construction of a project safely, efficiently, and within budget to meet quality standards.
* Developing a best-in-class site enabling plan to support a positive culture from the outset of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for:
1. Complying with construction methods, procedures, and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to quality assurance, safety, personnel, and industrial relations.
2. Ensuring that applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed.
3. Monitoring the site accounting practices and controlling the site cash, ensuring procedures are properly discharged.
4. Carrying out assessments and appraisals of staff and recording results in accordance with best practice.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* A degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* At least 10 years' experience in a similar role.
* Biotech/Pharma knowledge.
* Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills.
* People management skills.

* Managing construction and engineering teams, and various subcontractors to complete the project safely, within schedule, and budget.
* Supervising and managing all site staff, including construction superintendents, trade supervisors, and subcontractors.
