High Voltage Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high voltage systems, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on high voltage systems. They will be proficient in software such as Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), ETAP, ERACS CDEGS, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have a full Irish driving licence and be able to travel to sites across Ireland. They will also be eligible to work in Ireland and have excellent language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement high voltage systems, including substations, switchgear, and earthing requirements.
2. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operating manuals.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure smooth project execution.
4. Conduct site visits to inspect and troubleshoot high voltage systems.
5. Provide training and support to junior engineers and technicians on high voltage systems and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
6. 5+ years of experience in high voltage engineering, with a focus on HV topology design, interactions with utility companies, and client control room design.
7. Proficiency in software such as Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), ETAP, ERACS CDEGS.
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Full Irish driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
10. Fluent English language skills.
