Senior Automation Leadership Opportunity
This role presents a chance to lead technical teams as a seasoned automation professional, exceling in high-quality project delivery and team management.
* Guide and mentor a team of 45 engineers specializing in automation, electrical, and mechatronics.
* Serve as the technical authority for all automation and system integration projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
* Oversee the design, documentation, programming, and delivery of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, focusing on quality and consistency.
* Review and approve technical work to guarantee adherence to industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site personnel to ensure timely and budget-friendly project execution.
* Engage directly with clients to resolve complex technical issues and build lasting relationships through effective communication.
* Partner with Sales Leads to identify new business opportunities and support project bids, fostering growth and revenue expansion.
* Maintain high standards in documentation, industry best practices, and employee training and development.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronic Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
* A minimum of 12 years of experience in automation, control systems, or system integration.
* Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring engineers on technical projects, with a strong track record of success.
* In-depth knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, Ignition).
* Strong background in FAT/SAT, validation, and commissioning processes.
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a focus on technical delivery and quality.
* A proactive approach to supporting business development and project growth, with a commitment to innovation and improvement.
