Lead Commercial Growth at One of Leinster’s Most Progressive Rugby Clubs
Greystones RFC is seeking a high‑calibre Commercial Director to lead and scale the club’s commercial operations. This is a senior, high‑impact role suited to an ambitious commercial professional who can think strategically, execute decisively, and deliver measurable revenue growth. You will play a central role in shaping the club’s commercial future – driving sponsorship, matchday income, events, and brand development.
The Opportunity
This role goes beyond traditional club management. You will own and deliver a multi‑stream commercial strategy delivering year‑round revenues by utilising the club’s excellent facilities. Working closely with the club’s senior stakeholders, you will also build long‑term, high‑value partnerships whilst elevating the club’s brand, visibility, and engagement across the region. The opportunity will provide:
Significant untapped commercial potential across facilities, sponsorship, and community engagement
Opportunity to build and scale a commercial function from a relatively early stage
Strong local demographics and membership base providing immediate revenue opportunities
Clear strategic direction and governance structure already in place
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial growth strategy
Identify, secure, and grow high‑value sponsorship and partnership deals
Maximise revenue across match days, hospitality and other events, through facilities
Lead and modernise the club’s marketing and brand positioning
Drive attendance, engagement, and fan experience at AIL fixtures
Oversee clubhouse operations including bar, events, and retail performance
Build strong relationships across local business, community, and rugby networks
Manage budgets, track KPIs, and deliver consistent revenue growth
Candidate Profile

Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in a commercial role
Experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or business development
Strong commercial instinct with the ability to spot and execute opportunities
Confident stakeholder manager with excellent negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, delivery‑focused mindset
Experience and knowledge in Irish Club rugby is an advantage, but not essential
Passion for building something meaningful within a community‑driven organisation
Demonstrated ability to identify and execute “low‑hanging fruit” revenue opportunities quickly

Full, clean driver’s licence
