Support Worker - Residential Care Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our residential care team in Tipperary. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support services that promote independence, dignity, and overall quality of life for our residents.

Providing Day-to-Day Support

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to adults with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with personal care, life skills, and community activities. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Person-Centred Plans, promoting each resident's unique needs and preferences.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential requirements:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a care setting (experience in disability services preferred)
• Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

We offer an attractive 4-week rolling roster, rotating with another staff member:

• Week 1: 35 hours
• Week 2: 32 hours
• Average: 33 hours per week on a permanent contract

Shifts include a mix of days, evenings, and some nights (minimal night shifts over the 4-week cycle). You will also have the opportunity to work additional relief hours across all residential settings if desired.
