This is an exciting opportunity for
Automation Project Engineer
to join a leading pharmaceutical company in
Sligo
.
This role is on a
fixed term 12 months contract.
Responsibilities:
Deliver technical support and project management for all manufacturing operations and new product introductions (NPIs) across the site.
Take a proactive role in leading control system qualification processes during project start-ups.
Collaborate with IT/BTS to lead the integration of new systems
Manage control system components of both new initiatives and continuous improvement projects, working closely with process engineers and other departments to ensure successful execution.
Provide expert technical support for control system-related issues, including daily troubleshooting, performance optimization, and document control.
Adhere to and actively support all Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) and Engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
Identify opportunities to optimize vendor qualification efforts, foster vendor relationships, and represent Engineering in the pre-approval of vendor documentation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
3 + yrs in Automation Engineering with software development of PLC/HMI/ Scada Platforms in a GMP Pharmaceutical Industry.
Experience in Qualification of Control systems is essential.
Experience in plant start-ups/ new product introductions to medical device facilities.
