Job Description
To support the Senior Technical Manager to manage the technical operations of a fleet of tankers.
Overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, survey schedules and docking.
Manage financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications, and dry docking while ensuring compliance with industry, Class, International and statutory regulations of ISM/ISPS/MLC.
Update record of class status and liaise closely with Classification Societies / Suppliers / Contractors on day to day operations.
Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is being given the highest priority.
Monitor, coordinate and attend to vessel for oil major inspections, TMSA, statutory surveys, related matters and follow-up.
Incident / Accident Investigation and Reporting.
Maintain close communication with the vessel management team, and lead, develop and coach assigned senior officers on all matters (safety, technical, cost, leadership).
Conduct appraisal of crew member, brief crew on organisational policies, documentation, and procedures.
Job Requirements
Possess sea-going work experience as Marine Engineer on tankers
Possess MOT Engineer Certification either class 1 or class 2 will be an added advantage.
Has at least 3 years of experience and proven technical ability as technical superintendent or similar position.
Planned maintenance system experience
Has good organizational skills with hands‑on approach in technical trouble shooting and problem solving.
Has good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Independent and resourceful. Able to work under pressure to meet deadline.
Ability to travel within short notice as required.
