 
        In May 2025, we proudly opened our own café: Madeleine. Named after the iconic French sponge cake so dear to Marcel Proust, Madeleine is fully managed by Alliance Française and sources its products exclusively from trusted partner companies.Initially offering a sweet menu with coffee and French pastries, the café is now expanding into savoury options, including toasted sandwiches, soups and more to come .The Purpose:Oversee and manage the daily operations of MadeleineSupervise a team of baristas and kitchen assistantsEnsure outstanding customer service and compliance with health and safety standardsManage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationsTrack and analyse financial performance to enhance profitability and customer engagementReporting:The Café Manager will report directly to the HR & Operations Manager.Key Areas of responsibility:Manage day-to-day operations of Madeleine, including some basic food preparationDevelop and expand the food and beverage offer, and liaise with the other departments (communication and culture, finance, operations) to coorganise eventsFoster a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere and build customer loyaltyEnsure all cafe areas including the kitchen are clean, tidy and welcomingRecruit, onboard, and train new staff in food and beverage preparation and equipment useSupport the team in resolving customer issues promptly and professionallyCoordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk, food…)Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expensesSkills:Work experience as a Café ManagerHands-on experience with professional kitchen equipmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a teamCustomer service attitudeHigh school diplomaAdditional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plusFrench is requiredCompensation and Benefits:Salary Scale: 26 K€ (for 28 hours/week)Place of Work: 1 Kildare street, Dublin 2Usual hours of work: from Monday to Saturday:Monday: 11h – 17h, including 30 minutesTuesday to Friday: 10h30 – 15hSaturday : 9h30 – 17h
