Healthcare Assistant
for one of the best Nursing Homes in
Co Louth
who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social, physical, and mental stimulation.
Responsibilities
Help provide residents with excellent, all-encompassing care while consistently advancing their equality and dignity.
Completing chores that have been assigned and delegated involves providing direct care as well as all areas of daily living, such as eating, dressing, undressing, toileting, washing, and conversing with others.
Encourage each resident's freedom while respecting their privacy and dignity.
Residents with limited mobility should receive special attention and assistance.
Recognise, comprehend, and adhere to care plans; notify nurses right away if a resident's physical or mental condition changes.
Any incident or possible occurrence that could endanger the residents' or guests' health and safety should be reported right away.
Preserving a secure atmosphere for the home's occupants, employees, and guests.
Effectively communicate with each resident and their family members or representatives.
Participate in and improve the calibre of resident events and activities.
Requirements
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or equivalent)
Minimum of two years' experience in elder care
Alternatively, a Nursing, Allied Health, or healthcare-related degree
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong supervisory, leadership, and motivational abilities
