The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Property Officer (permanent Full Time) to join our East Regional team in SVP House, Dublin 1.The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that all properties owned or operated by the East Region are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose for volunteers, staff, visitors and the public. Working in support of the Property Services Manager, the post holder liaises with external contractors, contributes to the planning and delivery of renovations and fit-outs, and supports the ongoing maintenance of facilities, including health and safety, fire safety, security and regulatory compliance.
The role also involves managing key lease obligations such as renewals, rent reviews and break clauses, conducting property inspections and condition surveys, and assisting in ensuring that all properties are appropriately insured in the best interests of the Society. Qualifications
•Building Surveying, Engineering or Architecture qualification Degree.
•Minimum two years post qualification experience.
Experience
•At least 5 years' experience in a similar role (with extensive knowledge of conservation or fitout works).
Knowledge
•Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values.
•Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged.
•Practical understanding of commercial property and lease agreements.
Skills
•Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to build working relationships with both fellow team members and external stakeholders.
•Strong written communication and report writing skills with good attention to detail.
•Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English to produce reports and respond to external stakeholder requests.
•Self-motivated with good organisational, communication and report writing skills.
•Must hold clean full driving licence.
•Strategic approach to problem solving.
•Ambitious, motivated, able to work unsupervised and can operate within a close-knit team.
