About Us
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38.
We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
Reporting to
Head of HR
(or nominated person), the
HR Officer
will on a
Permanent
contract provide essential HR support across various functions within Stewarts Care.
This role is focused on delivering efficient and effective HR services to meet the organisation's needs, with an emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Level 6 Qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Experience in HR is essential, ideally with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Experience in healthcare, preferably in disability services, is desirable.
Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, employment law, and best practices.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in IT systems, including HR management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Driving licence is an advantage.

Salary:
In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Grade IV Clerical, €36,109- €55,463 per annum (including LSI).
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale.
Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular ******).
Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
