KKR is a leading global investment firm that offers alternative asset management as well as capital markets and insurance solutions. KKR aims to generate attractive investment returns by following a patient and disciplined investment approach, employing world‑class people, and supporting growth in its portfolio companies and communities. KKR sponsors investment funds that invest in private equity, credit and real assets and has strategic partners that manage hedge funds. References to KKR’s investments may include the activities of its sponsored funds and insurance subsidiaries.
KKR's Dublin office provides best‑in‑class services and solutions to our internal stakeholders and clients, drives organization‑wide process efficiency and transformation, and reflects KKR's global culture and values of teamwork and innovation. The office contains multifunctional business capabilities and is integral in furthering the growth of KKR globally.
The Opportunity
As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in developing proprietary, cloud‑native platforms that drive innovation and deliver measurable impact across our global operations. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing team within one of the world’s leading investment firms. You will contribute to high‑visibility, strategic initiatives that are critical to the success of KKR’s business — working alongside talented professionals at the forefront of technology in the asset management industry.
Our engineering teams build systems that help shape the future of the firm. We’re committed to attracting and developing top‑tier technology talent in Ireland. We’re looking for exceptional engineers and developers who are passionate about innovation, thrive in collaborative environments, and want to work on some of the most interesting challenges in financial technology.
The Team
The Investment Technology group at KKR builds and operates the systems that power the entire investment lifecycle—from deal sourcing and portfolio construction to risk management and monetization. We design platforms that connect data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets, enabling investment teams to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. Our mandate is to transform how KKR invests by engineering shared, data‑driven platforms that replace fragmented legacy tools with integrated solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and alpha generation.
The Role
As a Staff Engineer joining the Risk & Performance Engineering team, you will define the technical vision for key parts of our stack, shaping how data, analytics, and applications come together to drive business value. You’ll combine deep engineering expertise with a strategic mindset—designing scalable systems, mentoring top talent, and setting standards for technical excellence. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, data, and finance. You will drive our Risk platform forward and help ensure a culture of engineering excellence across the wider organization.
Our stack includes AWS, SQL & NoSQL databases, Redis, Python, and React, with a growing emphasis on AI‑assisted development and automation to enhance speed and quality across the SDLC.
